sloslylove is the moniker of EC based producer Feng Meng Vue. Feng’s music blends modern sounds with a nostalgic synth-soaked 80’s vibe–it’s safe to say some of his songs would feel very much at home on the “Stranger Things” soundtrack.
Feng has a lot of versatility as a beatmaker: he can just as easily craft a more laid back, soothingly ambient instrumental as he can drop an out-and-out banger that no one could possibly resist moving to.
Feng’s passion, humility, and work ethic have long been evident even to those who don’t know him outside of seeing him live. Quite simply there’s not many people that play more shows locally than slosly. He opens shows just as often as he headlines, he plays to packed houses and crowds of 8 kids with the same focus, he plays dance parties just as often as he plays punk shows. It’s clear there’s no ego at work here. Feng is someone who just loves making music and sharing it with people.
Ask nearly anyone involved with the area music and arts scene here in Eau Claire and they’d probably tell you that if anyone from the local scene deserves a shot at playing Eaux Claires, it’d be slosly. So here’s to you, Feng!
