If you’re a fan and follower of Eau Claire music you likely already know very well who Phil Cook is. DeYarmond Edison, Amateur Love, Megafaun, The Shouting Matches, Gayngs–Phil has been at the forefront of much of the growth and recognition that the EC music scene (and what it has spawned) has garnered over the last decade or so.
The frequent collaborator, sometimes band-mate, and long-time friend of Eaux Claires co-creator/curator Justin Vernon already had a pretty impressive musical resume, but Phil further added to that last year when he put out his first solo record. Southland Mission, his rollicking debut, rolls his folk and blues tendencies into a delightful and spirited package.
For those planning on catching Phil’s “Southland Revue” that will be on stage at Eaux Claires expect to see a lot of special guests and on-stage collaborations that will bring to life traditional songs, cuts from Southland, and much more!
