In 2011 I spent a month in England to participate in the Merge Festival, an annual festival that encourages and promotes a set of performances, events and happenings which draw on the rich heritage and contemporary culture of Bankside. Today’s episode is all about the humor. From satirical to sardonic, silly to sentimental, the Brits kept me on my toes with their mercurial wit and whimsy. The batch of songs that I’m going to play for you today use humor as a storytelling tool.
Tracks in this episode:
Art terry – Black Bohemian
Erin K and Tash – The Horsehead Song
Johnny O – Invasion of the Killer Lobsters
