Converge Radio Bringing Summer Concerts to the Region
Eau Claire (WI) The Western Wisconsin community has done an admirable job sheltering over the last several weeks and eventually restrictions will be loosened. However, it has left an unavoidable impact on the entirety of the local entertainment scene from performers to the supporters. Stages are dark and bandshells empty.
With that in mind, Converge Radio 99.9, the broadcast home for local music, is proud to announce the creation of the “At Home Concert Series” coming this May. Every Thursday night at 7pm, Converge Radio 99.9 will feature performances from a different local or regional act. The first airing is scheduled for May 14th and will run weekly through the end of August.
A list of performances will be announced soon at convergeradio.org.
“We hope that we’ll all be able to gather at various sites and bandshells this summer enjoying the variety of events we’ve grown accustomed to having, but in the meantime we wanted to be proactive and have something in place for the entertainment community” says Station Manager Scott Montesano.
Performances will cover a variety of genres.
“If all goes well, we’d like to continue this through the fall and winter” adds Montesano.
Converge Radio 99.9 is still in need of financial support to execute the concert series. Businesses or individuals interested is supporting the “At Home Concert Series” can either reach out via the station’s Facebook page or e-mail dustin@convergeradio.org.
