Each month, Converge Radio spotlights a musical artist from the Midwest. We play songs and an interview on the air, helping you get to know the people who make great music in our community. Our selection this month is the Chippewa Valley band Wyblue.
Wyblue is an independent band from Eau Claire, WI that was born from the question, “what makes you blue?” Not satisfied without answers, Wyblue set off to discover the monumentality and fragility of existence by writing songs that demand the recognition and celebration of real successes, painful struggles, and honest experiences. Conversations can be tough but songs can help.
We sit down with Andy, Rose, Will, and Nick- and talk about the songwriting process, how they came together to form the band, and what goes in to crafting their particular brand of folk and Americana infused indie rock. We also get to hear a bunch of their amazing new songs.
