Converge Radio 99.9 FM announces today that a new program, The 37d03d Radio Hour, will air Sundays at 8pm CT starting on October 6 on WDRK 99.9 FM in Western Wisconsin and at ConvergeRadio.org worldwide.
37d03d (pronounced “people”) is a collective of artists that has emerged in recent years from the artistic initiatives of Justin Vernon of Bon Iver and Aaron and Bryce Dessner from The National. It was born of a wish to establish an independent and nurturing space in which to make work (generally around music) that is collaborative and spontaneous. 37d03d has staged live events in Europe and the United States along with releasing new music from artists associated with the collective. 37d03d is as much about the process of making work and showing all that openly, as the final outcome.
The 37d03d Radio Hour is dedicated to broadcasting music from these artists who have contributed to 37d03d community. The show builds on archive material from the 37d03d platform online [37d03d.com], along with new studio releases, live recordings from festival events, and never heard before audio from interviews with 37d03d artists. The 37d03d Radio Hour is hosted and co-produced by Eau Claire natives Drew Christopherson and Trever Hagen who perform in the groups Marijuana Deathsquads, Poliça, Hrrrbek, Bon Iver and as solo artists with 373d03d.
“We’re thrilled to team up with the crew of 37d03d for this unique program,” says Converge Radio Station Manager Scott Morfitt, “Since airing their first mix tape live from Eaux Claires we have been all about their mission and are humbled to be a partner giving a radio voice to their work.”
37d03d can be heard at 8pm Sundays starting October 6th at ConvergeRadio.org or through TuneIn by searching Converge Radio.
