Aliana Sigala, better known by her stage name Naalia, is an Afro-Latina American artist influenced by Gospel, R&B, Latino Soul, and Contemporary Pop. Though for most of her life Naalia lived in her hometown of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, she also resided in California, and Barron, WI. It was in those times she struggled to discover her identity, a main theme explored throughout her work. Produced by her younger brother Sergio Sigala, they work in tandem to create music that relates to people on both an emotional and philosophical level. Naalia’s music is written with the intent of being more than just music, more than just a feeling, but a place people can go to to find answers in a world of confusion. With smooth guitar chords, funky bass notes, impactful drums, and a soulful voice coated over all of it, the introspective music is anything but melancholic, and will leave you hopeful by the end.
