Every once in a while a rare January concert comes together that’s like nothing else before it. This is that January concert. For one evening Minneapolis’ Har-di-Har will be joining Orchid Eaton for the first ever concert in the Riverside Theater (located in the Haas Fine Arts Center). Musical vibes will wash over you as a special light and video show fills the room with wonder. Watch/listen/get excited below.
Har-di-Har
Band Bio: Har-di-Har is Julie and Andrew Thoreen. They write and perform collage-oriented, orchestral art pop. Based in Minneapolis, the duo has made music together since 2012. Riding the line of the avant-garde music and performative art genres, their live performance invites the audience in as a familial witness to the vivid, awkward and vulnerable life of their own intimate relationship through performance on stage. Orchid Eaton
Band Bio: There used to be this warship called the Eaton, I came to find out later. A great steel hulk used in the Pacific. It crashed 3 times after the war (the worst with the USS Wisconsin) and then was sunk for target practice in 1969. The same year Gary Usher and my Eau Claire, WI hometown hero, Curt Boettcher made their last record as Sagittarius; the immersive, sunshiny, Moog-strewn, hippie-nadir ‘The Blue Marble’. (Read Full)
