This NYE is the first that much of the renovations and new developments that have been taking place in downtown Eau Claire are completed and so this New Year’s Eve, to a degree that it never has been able to before, downtown EC is coming together to put on a seriously huge shindig. There’ll be a parade of lights, live entertainment and food and drink specials at most all of the downtown restaurants and venues, and more!

We here at Blugold Radio are very excited to be playing a big part in the festivities taking place specifically at The Lismore!

Here’s just a few of the exciting things happening there:
•Live musical performances featuring Belladiva along with local Blugold Radio acts (more on that below!)
•Both halls have live music and dancing
•Live entertainment
•Inclusive magnificent cuisine and beverage choices
•Live midnight celebration on Blugold Radio 99.9 FM (yup!)
•Champagne toast at midnight 

…so yeah, it’s going to be a lot of fun and–as stated above–we’re very excited to be curating our own stage. We will be bringing you FIVE local bands! Five great and very different local groups to help you send off 2016 with some top notch local music.

OH AND WE ALMOST FORGOT TO MENTION…the Blugold Radio stage (and ONLY the Blugold Radio stage as far as the Lismore NYE gala goes) will now be open to all Light Up Eau Claire wristband purchasers, which means you can enjoy our all local lineup along with a smörgåsbord of great music happening in other venues throughout downtown. If you want access to both halls of music, the champagne toast, and/or the inclusive dinner, tickets are still available for the $55 and $125 package deals (more information on that below!).

We’re Wolves

Without question one of the biggest earworms in terms of local artists on our airwaves was the chorus of “River” by this band, We’re Wolves. If you haven’t had “I dive, go wading in the water…” stuck in your head at least a few times the past 6 months then you probably haven’t been listening to Blugold Radio nearly as much as you should. This collaborative group combines hip-hop, folk, and indie rock into a unique and catchy package.

The Jaggernauts

Words can’t describe the force of nature that is The Jaggernauts. To quote them, “The Jaggernauts will crush your head with a crowbar!” Though, their crushing is quite pleasant, travelling the gammut that is rock and/or roll.

Jerrika Mighelle

Formerly of the EC trio QuinnElizabeth with her sisters, Jerrika is now primarily a solo artist whose live shows are an endearing juxtapostion of her powerful, heartfelt folk tunes and her playful, often hilarious banter between songs. She’s just completed her newest album and will no doubt be playing a lot of her latest material at this show!

sloslylove is the moniker of EC’s master producer/beatmaker Feng Meng Vue. Feng has been at the forefront of the growing EC electronic scene and was resultingly and deservedly picked to play this year’s Eaux Claires festival. His music combines spacey, sci-fi atmospherics and synthy 80’s nostalgia with a modern hip-hop sensibility–think along the lines of a sexier, dancier “Stranger Things” soundtrack. Suffice it to say that he’s got just the right kind of vibe for a late night NYE dance party.
