Band Bio
The Coax is a psych-rock outfit based in Minneapolis,
Minnesota. Heavily influenced by garage bands of the 60’s and
rock and roll bands of the 70’s, their post-punk sound captured in
studio is replicated live with a raw energy that is undeniable.
What started as the solo project of singer/songwriter, Tom
Lescovich, The Coax formed in 2014 and has since been
transformed into a well-oiled machine engineered by Jeff Kruse,
Dustin Possehl, and Mike Frahm. It wasn’t until December of
2015 that the four began creating together. The addition of
Frahm on the drum kit elevated the band’s sound, making it a
much faster and mean machine.
2015 saw the release of the band’s debut album, Whiskey
Kids. The Coax has toured North America allowing their sound to
blossom in different markets. The four continue to frequent cities
such as New York, Philadelphia, and Chicago, creating and
sustaining relationships with top-notch acts within each scene.
Their live show has seen the stage of many reputable festivals
including TC Pride Festival, NEMAA Art-A-Whirl, and GO96.3 Rock
the Cause. The band has shared the stage with notable acts such
as Night Moves, Diane Coffee, Day Wave, Peaches, Corb Lund,
4ontheFloor, and John Mark Nelson.
